Channa dal without onion garlic (channna dali bina piyaja rasuna)



Ingredients

1 cup Channa dal (soaked for 2-3 hr)
2tblsp Coconut (grated) optional
½ tsp red chilly powder
Whole red chillies-2
2 Cinammon sticks
A handful of Curry leaves
2 black Cardamom
5 whole Cloves
1 tsp Black pepper powder
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tblsp jeera-Coriander powder
2 bayleaves
Ginger 1” piece grated
½ tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Sugar
Hing apinch
Salt
1 tsp Panchporan
2 tblsp oil/ Ghee

Pressure cook the channa dal in water, salt, grated ginger, bayleaves and turmeric. Drain all the water from dal. Keep the dal aside.
Take a kadai. Heat oil/ ghee. Crackle panchafutan . Then add curry leaves & hing to it & add whole cinnamon- cardamom- cloves, black pepper,cumin and coriander powder.Sauté for 2-3 sec.Then add the cooked channa dal and sugar. Cook in low flame till they form a thick gravy. Serve hot with Puri/ parathas.

Lovely delicious Chana dal recipe.i follow this recipe quite a long time but i didn't know it that's u my baby... yesterday while preparing I searched for the name and was so happy that you r the blog author..thanks again for the tasty Mandir type recipe
